Unlike painting, which is nonrepresentational by nature, photography is the kind of art format which is mean to describe the true world, or is it? The boundary of photography is way bigger than that. From Daido’s works I already got the idea that photography is more about how you feel rather than the interpretation of the work. However, for a very long time, I am still bounded, or should I say restricted by the form of reality when creating photography. The simple shape, color and lighting which suppose to make you feel comfortable is already enough for a good picture. It’s kind of like the minimalism or neoplasticism in painting, except the fact that photography has another dimension to it - the lighting and shadow.
